Primitive Halloween Pig Dracula Witch
Ok I realized after the pics that I forgot her teeth but they will be in when she arrives. LOL Made from muslin grubbed up, this gal is ready for flight. Hand-embroidered and painted eyes, wired tail, machine sculpted bat wings with stick boning, black hat on head, pitchfork in hoof made from rusty wire and stick, she sits atop a paper mache witches hat painted white and stained....Awesome piece for a prim collector, Halloween collector or both. Awesome convo piece......pattern by Vermont Harvest Bears...

ER Visit and More
So yesterday went to ER because my older son pushed my younger son over a toy and when the younger fell, he hit the corner of his eye on the deacons bench at the end of our bed. He was bleeding and his eye is all swollen shut, black and blue and he had to get stitches. Needless to say the oldest was in major trouble and sooo now this morning the oldest is sick and doesn't have a voice. When it rains it pours...Oh they are 6 and 4 yrs old by the way....
On a lighter note I got in some awesome swaps. Here is my secret sister witch swap gifts and my scarecrow swap from Heather.....

I got this email yesterday. I am so excited about this prospect:

Monday Marketplace Featured OFG Artist WillowTree Treasures
1. What is the name of your Etsy shop and why did you choose that name?
My shop name is Willowtree Treasures.
As a child I had a willowtree that was located
in our back lawn. Every time the branches would
float in the wind it seemed so magical to me.
I thought some day ...if I looked hard enough...
I may find treasures nestled beneath the
moving of these branches.
2. How long have you been on Etsy?
I have been on Etsy for a little over a year.
3. What type of items do you offer?
I offer items that range from extreme primitive
to primitive with a touch of vintage appeal.
I create dolls, doll lamps, pincushions,
doll pins, hang tags, door greeters, shelf
sitters and much more to aid in home decoration.
4. How long have you been crafting?
I have been creating for about 10 years.
I started with primitive jar lamps
surrounded by a layer of moss and silicone
bulbs as the lighting source. When I began to sew
I then began adding the half dolls to my lamp creations.
I then graduated to full dolls, ornies and doll pins.
My business branched out from there.
5. Who or What inspires you?
Life in general inspires me .
The life stories people have to share
of their triumphs and disappointments
I also find as inspirational!
6. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
My favorite item in my shop is Annie
and the Clairabelle cow. I found the construction
of this set to be very challenging and did a lot
of techniques for the first time! This project I truly had
a hard time putting down until is was completed
because of my interest in seeing the
final product when it was finished!

Typical Day in My Life
Sooo I have been running ragged lately. I am up by 5 everyday to get emails and orders mailed off, eat, get dressed and drink coffee, get my older son on the bus by 6:45 am and then get my younger son dressed for preschool. By then it is 7:00am and I leave for work. Hubby takes younger son with him. I get to work at 7:30 and by then the kids are there waiting to be taught. I work 7:30-3:20, get off work then go to my older son's school to get him at afterschool care, then go to my younger son's preschool to get him. By then it is 4:15. I come in change clothes, answer emails again, then it is dinnertime. I eat, then sew for maybe 2 hours tops, at 6:30 it is the kids bath time. I give them baths, go back to sewing until 7:30 rolls around then put them both to bed. I then take a bath myself, go down and stuff sewn dolls for orders until about 8:30 pm then go up and fall into bed to get up and do it all over again the next day.
I am sooo tired but I have sooo many orders right now and I will feel bad if I don't get them out before the holiday. My weekends are the same except instead of working at work I am sewing that long from the time I get up until it is time for bed.
Now granted I am not complaining much as the good Lord has truly blessed me but man I need a rest LOL Oh well no rest for the wicked. Can we say I may have to employ some relatives? LOL

Upset
So 2 bad things happened today.
1) I lost my favorite necklace in the world and it cost me another large sum of cash to have it replaced. I know I checked it and it was on good but when I got home from work it was not on my neck anymore.
2) One of my students I teach was in a real bad accident and may not live. He has massive head trauma. His aunt said it didn't look good. Lets all keep him in our prayers.
