Sold and going to my new home---Thanks for participating :)
This dollie is about 18 inches tall. He is painted, sanded, baked and stained. He has pinch-stitched eyebrows, black seed bead eyes, a sculpted button nose painted terra cotta orange, and a hand-painted mouth with large teeth and big smile. He has kid fingers, a nice kelly green hat, and nice rusty snowflakes down his front. To finish him off, he has a grubby candy cane in his hands.
Liam decided to sell this dollie for some Christmas money. It was his decision to do it and as you can see he changed the doll along the way. I made it according to his picture but when going to paint it, he decided he wanted it to look olde and more like a snowman.
Finally I am done and here I am with my younger brother showing it off.
This morning I started making his candy cane to go in his hand.
Here I am painting the hat for him. I made it green because that is mommy's favorite color.
I had lots of fun.
Mom designed the pattern onto paper and cut it out and sewed it for me. I helped stuff it and here I am painting the snowman last night.
It started out as a drawing. My son who is 5 saw me working on snowman orders and decided to make a pattern for his own snowman. Above here it is....

He did an awesome job, and I hope he gets a really high price for him!
You can't teach them too early! My mother taught me to sew at 4, and I taught my kids at about the same age.
