My Son's Birthday and Turkey Calls

So my son's birthday is today but we celebrated it yesterday. This is his cake. Bear with me in pics as I am sick again with the flu ACK! So I forgot to tell my hubby to buy candles so we had to use my #4 candle from my younger sons birthday. My older son in pic is now 6. He opened his gifts and got a bunch of clothes and hot wheels racing sets and a spaceship set.

On the other front, dad has finally finished 3 turkey calls all are purple heart tops with mahogany sides and bottoms. It took him this long and many throw aways later to get these 3 just to sound right. Cost for them will be $50 ea plus travelin fare. These do not qualify for the sale price since they are his. I have one already sold so there are only 2 available. See pics above. These also come with a camo bag and silencer.

My Swap Arrived

I had a critter swap with my yahoo group International Prim Dollmakers and I got this wonderful and sweet cat from CR and also a scissor FOB Thanks soo much!

Mom and Son Time

So yesterday for about 2 hours my older son and I went to the mall. He needed new shoes and I was tired of buying the cheap ones at Walmart for them only to last about 2 months and then having to buy a new pair. Well we went and I take him to the stores and he is one determined bugger! He was insisting he wanted Sketchers that light up. Soooo after trekking to two shoe stores, I finally say let's go to JcPenney. Sure enough, they have Sketchers and they have the exact ones he wanted which were ones that look like Police cars and they light up. I said where did you see this on tv? He says no my friend has a pair. So he was done.
Then we went to my store and I bought clothing for myself as I haven't treated myself in a long time but now I have to go back today because there was a coupon I just got in email for that if I wuld have ha dit I would have saved 30% sooooo 26 bucks is 26 bucks. That will pay for my fabric I need to buy yet. After that we decided to have lunch in the food court and when the kid handed me the tray I only had one hand as the other were full of bags, well needless to say the tray tipped and everything fell on my son and the floor. Luckily he didn't get too wet with soda. They gave us all new food though which was good.
All and all it was a good day though as it is rare I get one on one time with my sons as we are always doing family things or I am working so this was a cherished moment.

Little Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf Set

This set is sooo awesome. BBW is OOAK made by me. He is made from muslin and about 36 inches tall. He has hand-painted eyes and an embroidered nose and whiskers, big red felt tongue with big, sharp white paperclay teeth! His ears and feet are sculpted. He wears a gray suit. Red is about 20 inches tall, made from muslin. She has a hand-painted shirt, collar, leggings, boots witht he smallest white buttons and over top she wears a muslin skirt with a red muslin cape with hood. I forgot to take pics of her with hood on as she was so cute without it and didn't want to mess her hair up LOL Her eyes are hand=painted as well as her mouth. Her nose is pinch-stitched. In her hands, she carries a basket to grandma's house of spanish moss with red berries and paperclay loaf of bread. Great for the collector or for a prim home and a great convo piece.
Set is $65 + Travelin Fare Plus 20% off for my sale going on.
