Looking for tips and inspiration for how to run your business? We want to make it easier for you to find the posts you want. So we've revamped the Sell page (which you can find at the very top left of every page on Etsy), and you'll now see a shortcut to all the Seller Handbookposts published here. This means online workshops and events for sellers, business how-to's, as well as inspiring inside scoops like Quit Your Day Job.
For those of you in the habit of going directly to the blog to browse for the latest seller education content, you'll soon need to use a new shortcut: clicking on the Seller Handbook icon. You'll find it in the right-hand column on each blog page (under Other Editions).
Why are we making a big deal about telling you this? The editors of The Etsy Blog are shifting their emphasis to subjects that are more accessible to the general public (and less insider-y). The goal is to engage readers who may be completely new to Etsy and primarily interested in shopping or connecting with people who share their interests. What is going to happen is that the seller education posts will no longer appear on the homepage of the blog, though you'll still be able to find them through searching the blog, by clicking the icon or via the Sell page. This is a good thing: it means the blog will be enticing to a larger audience, most of whom aren't sellers. And it means that busy sellers who want to cut to the chase and get the tips they need, can get right to what they want.
I know, I know! A lot of you like to read both the "fluff" and the "useful stuff" and don't want us to split things up. But in order to grow and develop, we think it's best to start to build out the Sell page as a destination for resources and content Etsy sellers need. This change is hopefully just the first one, as we iterate upon the Sell page. We want to give individuals the content they want in the right place at the right time.
