Meet Clyde The Lifeguard & His Mousie Friends

With preserver on
with preserver off

First let me say my digital camera broke and is getting repaired so sorry for the grainy pics as they were taken with my iphone.
Clyde decided he needed an outdoor job for the summer as he loves the outdoors but little did he know it would be as a lifeguard! Generally cats hate water but olde Clyde decided it was hot enough in the good ole summer time down south to get his paws wet.
It looks like he had his first rescue too. He has three mice hitching a ride on his life preserver, he has on his straw hat to block the sun and he has his flag up informing everyone he is a lifeguard. Way to go Clyde!
This guy roughly measure 10 inches tall. They are all made from muslin that have been sanded , baked, painted and stained for the look of olde. Mice have black seed bead eyes, whiskers and rusty twisted wire tails. Clyde has vintage button eyes, a vintage knit old thyme swimsuit that is held together with rusty safety pins by the straps, rusty wire whiskers and a burlap straw hat....
Clyde is removeable from the life preserver as shown.

Be on the lookout this week at Patternmart for a new arrival pattern for him and check back here also as I will link it up to Patternmart.......
